Driving west from Calgary affords a fantastic view of the more vertical side of this Banff landmark (looking south from the Trans-Canada Highway before and after the Banff National Park gates). From the actual townsite and East of Banff one can see the more gentle south slope. This photo was taken from atop Tunnel Mountain in Banff looking east towards Calgary.
