Banff Jasper Highway Making the turn from the Trans Canada Highway north to Jasper the geography changes noticable as the Banff Jasper portion has much more dramatic glaciers. On one of the many drives up to Jasper, Barry was looking and found a typical scene that captured the forest, mountains and glaciers that are so prevalent in the area. Returning to Calgary from Jasper, the task of capturing that picture started out innocent enough: pull over to the side of the Banff Jasper highway and shoot the picture. Getting the shot, however, proved a bit more challenging. To get the correct composition involved climbing up an embankment, waiting for the appropriate light and then shooting required 10 different exposures to ensure success. |
